Attention - Home owners, architects, building surveyors and conservatory suppliers - planning a home extension, a new conservatory or carrying out a small building project.

Your local council will require an Ordnance Survey based location plan at a scale of 1:1250 for all planning applications. The plan should show your property (with all buildings on the site) with the proposed extension marked and all adjoining roads and buildings, including those at the back and those facing your property. In the past this has usually required a visit and payment to your local council office for a location plan.

Your local authority will usually require up to six site maps, which Siteplan can provide. With the launch of our email delivery system, the service is now even quicker and easier to use. Unlike local authority maps, which can only be used for statutory purposes, Siteplan is also used for:

Site-centred
Your property is put at the centre of the map, giving a clear picture of its relation with the surrounding area. Select this either by postcode, place name or National Grid Reference. Prices for Siteplan plots from £25.00 per six copy pack. Siteplan Data is available from £27.50 plus VAT and includes a free copyright licence for one year.

A choice of scale
Different local authorities require different map scales. Siteplan covers them all: 

1:500 scale - 80 m by 80 m of ground coverage printed on A4 paper.
1:1250 scale - 200 m by 200 m of ground coverage printed on A4 paper.
1:2500 scale - 400 m by 400 m of ground coverage printed on A4 paper.

Customised mapping
With the launch of Siteplan Data, your maps can be delivered in a digital form, as a universally accepted TIFF file. This allows you to customise your map by overlaying other information or to highlight a specific area, such as your house, in colour.
